Although located in the Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty of the Pendle Forest, we are a short drive from any of the major towns or cities, swap their hustle and bustle for the leisurely pace of life.
The park is aimed at those who want to enjoy the scenery and the local activities. There is a children’s play area, but no entertainment facilities on site, though there are regular offers available exclusively to the park’s guests.
There is certainly plenty to do in the area, in addition to following the Witches’ Trail… Towneley Hall near Burnley, for instance is a country house with a museum and art gallery as well as woodland walks, a sculpture trail, two golf courses, and more. Boundary Mill Shop at Colne has a huge range of goods for happy shoppers, including clothes, arts, crafts and local food.
The village of Roughlee, Lancashire is situated 6 miles north of Burnley in the Pendleside area of East Lancashire. Roughlee is probably most famous for its links with the Pendle Witches, its White Railings and of course its location near to Pendle Hill. Nearby Colne has a karting track, and you can also take boat trips from there on the Leeds-Liverpool Canal. Nearby villages have market days, antique shops and craft fairs for you to enjoy.
More importantly, there is just the countryside to enjoy, and you wouldn’t want to miss climbing to the top of Pendle Hill itself – at 557m, the views are certainly worth the effort.
As the park is open all season, it allows owners to enjoy the maximum use out of their holiday home, so whether it is for a weekend retreat, or perhaps sharing your leisure time between here and abroad, the Forest of Pendle Leisure Park is the perfect place for you and your family to escape the stresses of everyday living.
