Park Lane is situated in the village of Meols, which is mainly residential with a small yacht and fishing community on its Irish Sea shore line. The centre has a small row of shops adjacent to Meols railway station. There is a local community park known as Meols Park Recreation Ground and a Meols bowling green.

Royal Liverpool Golf Club is delighted to welcome visitors to play its challenging course. Hoylake has staged major tournaments throughout its long history including 11 Open Championships. The Open made a successful return to Hoylake in 2006 when Tiger Woods achieved his third victory. The Women’s British Open will be played at Hoylake for the first time in 2012, then the Open returns in 2014.
