A Relaxing Break at Coquet View

The caravan park itself is a welcoming, pet friendly community, which although tends to appeal to those aged over 40, is equally suited to young families. If you are travelling with a pet, here’s some handy tips for travelling with dogs.

On site facilities include a launderette and children’s play area. Neighbouring nine hole Warkworth Golf Club, as well as being popular for the sporty, provides bar and restaurant facilities, including highly recommended two-course Sunday dinners.  It also has spectacular views over the beach and castle.  Warkworth, less than five minutes’ walk from Coquet View Holiday Park also has a range of restaurant open to 11pm weekdays and midnight on Saturdays, as well as everyday shopping facilities.

Our Favourite Attractions

There is plenty to occupy all ages and interests in the nearby areas of Warkworth and Amble.

Warkworth Castle with its magnificent cross shaped keep and spectacular views is open to the public to explore its fascinating architecture or just imagine life as a King or Queen.  A half mile boat trip down the river to the Hermitage, a religious building carved out of the rock and said to be the private chapel of the First Earl of Northumberland is a fascinating experience.  Only accessible via boat, the Hermitage is a tranquil, peaceful location to take in the surroundings and discover more about this intriguing landmark.

Amble, a mile away from Warkworth, is also situated on the Northumberland coast at the mouth of the River Coquet.  Locally sourced fresh fish are sold from harbourside locations and there is an excellent Sunday market held throughout the year as well as a wide selection of restaurants serving popular cuisine.  As a waterside location, activities in Amble include sailing, canoeing, kayaking and fishing. Coquet Island, a mile off the coast is home to more than 35,000 nesting birds and a seal colony. Designated a site of special scientific interest, boat trips to Coquet Island run daily from the harbour throughout the summer.

Coquet View Holiday Park is set in an unrivalled location for its beautiful coastal scenery of the Northumberland coastline and serves as the perfect base for exploring miles of unspoilt scenery and historic architecture.

Caravan Holidays the Whole Family Can Enjoy!

Its close knit, friendly community and spacious surroundings offers peace and security as well as an excellent quality of life. Coquet View is dog friendly, so ideal for long coastal walks. The caravan site is particularly appealing to those seeking a quieter pace of life and perhaps a welcome retreat from city life. Equally suitable for young families or visits from grandchildren, a booking a holiday home at one of the best parks in the North East provides an opportunity to relax, take a break and explore the beauty of Northumberland.
